They are either part of complex quests or cleverly hidden in areas that are not easily accessible. Additionally, some legendary items are dropped by formidable bosses. In this guide, we will provide information on the legendary weapons and armors in Baldur's Gate 3, as well as how you can acquire them. Please note that this article contains spoilers.

Guide on Acquiring Legendary Weapons and Armors in Baldur's Gate 3

Currently, there are approximately 15 legendary items that have been found in Baldur's Gate 3. These items have been organized into categories based on the point in the campaign where they are most likely to be obtained. It is important to note that progressing too far in the game may result in certain areas becoming inaccessible, and there are also choices that lead to different rewards. Additionally, there are separate guides available that provide more in-depth information on these legendary weapons and armors in Baldur's Gate 3.

In order to acquire the legendary weapon called the Blood of Lathander in Baldur's Gate 3, you need to make your way to the Rosymorn Monastery. This location is part of the overland route that leads to Moonrise Towers. It is also a crucial step in the Githyanki Creche main quest, which Lae'zel constantly mentions. Therefore, it is important to complete this quest before progressing too far into Act 2.

Regardless of the situation, you are required to solve a puzzle within a hidden chamber. Once this puzzle is solved, you need to insert the Dawnmaster's Crest into a device. This action will grant you access to the mace without any risks. However, if you fail to solve the puzzle or choose not to insert the crest, you will need to make a crucial decision regarding Creche Y

To obtain the Shar's Spear of Evening, it is important to have Shadowheart in your party as you venture into Nightsong's Prison located deep within the Gauntlet of Shar. Once inside, you must defeat Balthazar in combat and then engage in a conversation with Nightsong. In order to acquire the weapon immediately, you should persuade Shadowheart to eliminate Nightsong.

In the game Selune's Spear of Night, there is a scenario where you have the option to convince Shadowheart not to kill Nightsong, the imprisoned woman. Instead of giving a direct command, you need to successfully pass a dialogue check to persuade Shadowheart to spare Nightsong. If successful, Shadowheart will discard the Spear of Night weapon, and Nightsong will undergo a transformation, revealing her true form

Here's the catch: you won't get your hands on this extraordinary weapon right away. Instead, you'll have to save Nightsong (once again) from the grasp of Ketheric Thorm. Then, when Act 3 begins, Nightsong will reveal more details about Shadowheart's background. She will also mention that she managed to recover the ancient spear, which has now been blessed by Selune.

Embark on the next chapter of Shadowheart's quest and uncover the tale of Viconia's Walking Fortress. Along the way, you will discover the House of Grief, a hidden haven for followers of the Sharran faith in the Lower City. Engage in a fierce battle with Viconia DeVir and opt to eliminate her. By doing so, you can obtain this legendary item from her lifeless body in Baldur's Gate 3. However, if you decide to let Viconia escape, you will lose the opportunity to encounter her or obtain the shield.

Please be aware that we conducted this action with Shadowheart having converted to the Selunite faith (i.e. choosing not to harm Nightsong and encouraging her to follow the path of Selune). We cannot guarantee that the shield can still be acquired if Shadowheart fully embraces her Sharran destiny (i.e. killing Nightsong and pushing her to dedicate herself to Shar).

In the game called Nyrulna, there is a challenging level called Circus of the Last Days. Your objective in this level is to expertly pickpocket a character named Akabi in order to win a valuable prize. However, be aware that Akabi is aware of your theft and will retaliate by teleporting you to a confined area surrounded by dinosaurs. Along this path, you will eventually discover a chest that holds a legendary item. It is important to note that there is a known issue with this segment of the game, and there is a chance that Akabi may not teleport you as intended.

This is the next part of the Nightsong storyline. Head to Ramazith's Tower in the Sorcerous Sundries building, where Lorroakan resides. You have the option to give Nightsong to the corrupt Wizard or assist him in obtaining his goal. In either case, be sure to explore the balcony and descend to the lower section. Once there, disable the magical barrier to acquire the legendary quarterstaff and a highly uncommon robe.

Duelist's Prerogative

The storyline involving Mayrina and Auntie Ethel from Act 1 continues in this quest. In Act 3, you will be on a mission to find a child named Vanra, only to discover that she has been abducted by Auntie Ethel. Your objective is to find Mayrina, who can assist you in creating a potion that will compel the hag to release the child. After completing this task, return the rapier to Vanra's mother as your reward.

Gontr Mael advises that before confronting Lord Gortash in his chambers, it is important to deactivate the Steel Watch automatons. This can be done by entering the Steel Watch Foundry located in the southwestern part of the Lower City. A helpful Gondian non-player character (NPC) will assist you on this mission. Inside the depths of the foundry, defeat the Steel Watcher Titan and collect its loot. Remember to retrieve the weapon before instructing the NPC to destroy the facility, as it will become unreachable afterwards.

In the game Balduran's Giantslayer, players will embark on a quest to save Duke Ravengard and escape from an underwater prison. Along the way, they will discover a secret lair located deep beneath the city. To progress further, players must successfully complete various trials within the lair. Finally, they will face off against the furious dragon named Ansur in an epic battle. If they emerge victorious

To acquire the Helm of Balduran in Baldur's Gate 3, you must first defeat Ansur. Afterward, make sure to examine the altar located at the back to obtain this legendary item. Additionally, discovering the helm will unveil a secret passage leading back to the prison area.

Crimson Mischief

Make your way to the Lower City Sewers and explore the Undercity Ruins. As you progress, you will come across Orin the Red inside the Temple of Bhaal. Take her down and search her body to obtain this equipment item.

Bloodthirst is a powerful weapon found in the game Baldur's Gate 3. It is obtained by defeating Orin the Red, a formidable enemy. Originally, the weapon was called Netherstone-Pommeled Bloodthirst, but its name was later shortened.

The Orphic Hammer is not typically used in combat as a legendary weapon, but it plays a crucial role in various quests. Players can acquire this item by either accepting Raphael's offer or by stealing it from the House of Hope. Additionally, it is the only object capable of destroying the crystals that bind Hope and Orpheus.

The Helldusk Armor is considered one of the top legendary armors in Baldur's Gate 3 because of its unique abilities. Unlike other armors, it can be worn by any character regardless of their class restrictions. For example, even Gale, a spellcaster, can wear it and still be able to cast spells. The only obstacle is that you need to enter the House of Hope and defeat Raphael, who has 666 HP, symbolizing his devilish nature. This battle is known to be challenging, so make sure you are prepared.

The Gloves of Soul Catching are a remarkable piece of legendary equipment from the House of Hope. What sets them apart is that in order to unlock their full potential, you must also utilize the Orphic Hammer to release Hope from her confinement. You can find her prison through the hatch. Once you've freed Hope, your goal is to escape and ultimately defeat Raphael when he appears.
