Safe zones vs hostile monuments<\/h2>\n

Safe zones<\/strong> \u2014 Outpost and Bandit Camp \u2014 let you trade, buy from vending machines, recycle and research without being shot; turrets enforce the peace (don’t pull a weapon there). Every other monument is hostile<\/strong>: NPC scientists, radiation in places, and other players hunting the same loot.<\/p>\n\n

The keycard system<\/h2>\n

Locked rooms need keycards<\/strong> in three tiers \u2014 green, blue and red<\/strong>. The system is laddered: a green card<\/strong> reaches a room containing a blue card<\/strong>, and a blue reaches a red<\/strong>; red cards open the elite loot rooms. Many puzzles also require power \u2014 find a fuse<\/strong>, insert it, and flip switches in the right order to open the loot room. Carry spare green cards and a fuse whenever you run monuments.<\/p>\n\n
