This guide explains every value that matters.<\/p>\n<h2>Where types.xml lives<\/h2>\n<p>On a Chernarus server the file sits at:<\/p>\n<pre><code>mpmissions\/dayzOffline.chernarusplus\/db\/types.xml<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>Livonia uses <code>dayzOffline.enoch<\/code> instead. Each item is one <code>&lt;type&gt;<\/code> entry. Here&#8217;s a real example for an AK-101:<\/p>\n<pre><code>&lt;type name=\"AKM\"&gt;\n    &lt;nominal&gt;12&lt;\/nominal&gt;\n    &lt;lifetime&gt;14400&lt;\/lifetime&gt;\n    &lt;restock&gt;0&lt;\/restock&gt;\n    &lt;min&gt;6&lt;\/min&gt;\n    &lt;quantmin&gt;-1&lt;\/quantmin&gt;\n    &lt;quantmax&gt;-1&lt;\/quantmax&gt;\n    &lt;cost&gt;100&lt;\/cost&gt;\n    &lt;flags count_in_cargo=\"0\" count_in_hoarder=\"0\" count_in_map=\"1\" count_in_player=\"0\" crafted=\"0\" deloot=\"0\"\/&gt;\n    &lt;category name=\"weapons\"\/&gt;\n    &lt;usage name=\"Military\"\/&gt;\n&lt;\/type&gt;<\/code><\/pre>\n<h2>What each value actually does<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>nominal<\/strong> &mdash; the <em>target<\/em> amount of this item the Central Economy tries to keep in the world. Raise it for more of the item; this is the value you change most often.<\/li>\n<li><strong>min<\/strong> &mdash; the floor. When the live count drops to or below <code>min<\/code>, the economy prioritises respawning the item back toward <code>nominal<\/code>. Keep <code>min<\/code> below <code>nominal<\/code> (a good rule is roughly 50&ndash;70% of it).<\/li>\n<li><strong>lifetime<\/strong> &mdash; how many seconds the item persists on the ground untouched before it despawns. 3600 = 1 hour, 14400 = 4 hours.<\/li>\n<li><strong>restock<\/strong> &mdash; seconds before a partially-depleted spawn area refills. <code>0<\/code> means it restocks on the next economy cycle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>quantmin \/ quantmax<\/strong> &mdash; for items with a quantity bar (magazines, liquids, food), the percentage range they spawn filled. <code>-1<\/code> disables it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>cost<\/strong> &mdash; spawn priority weighting (default 100). Higher = more likely to be chosen when the economy spawns from a category.<\/li>\n<li><strong>flags<\/strong> &mdash; whether the live count includes items in storage, on players, or only on the map. If you want loot to keep spawning even when players are hoarding it, set <code>count_in_cargo<\/code> and <code>count_in_hoarder<\/code> to <code>0<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>usage<\/strong> &mdash; which location tags the item can spawn at (Military, Police, Town, Farm, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>A worked example: more military weapons<\/h2>\n<p>To roughly double AKM availability, raise <code>nominal<\/code> from 12 to 24 and bump <code>min<\/code> to 12. To make them despawn slower so players actually find them, raise <code>lifetime<\/code>. To stop ammo from drying up, lower the ammo&#8217;s <code>cost<\/code> on the cheap calibres so the economy spawns them more often.<\/p>\n<h2>Skip the manual XML &mdash; use our editor<\/h2>\n<p>Hand-editing hundreds of <code>&lt;type&gt;<\/code> entries is slow and one typo can stop your server from booting.
