This guide covers how to survive and progress the Mountains.<\/p>\n<h2>Beat the cold first<\/h2>\n<p>Without protection, the Mountains&#8217; <strong>freezing<\/strong> drains your health constantly. You need either <strong>Frost Resistance mead<\/strong> (see our <a href=\"https:\/\/xgamingserver.com\/blog\/valheim-mead-potion-recipes\/\">mead guide<\/a>) or <strong>Wolf armor<\/strong>, which grants built-in frost resistance. Don&#8217;t set foot up here without one.<\/p>\n<h2>Key resources<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Silver<\/strong> &mdash; buried underground; use the <strong>Wishbone<\/strong> (from Bonemass) to locate veins, then mine them out.
