This guide covers how to find and repair vehicles in DayZ.<\/p>\n<h2>Finding a vehicle<\/h2>\n<p>Cars (sedans, the Olga and Gunter hatchbacks, the ADA 4&#215;4, trucks) spawn around the map, often near towns and roads \u2014 but almost always <strong>missing parts<\/strong>. Finding the shell is the easy bit; making it drive is the work.<\/p>\n<h2>The parts you need to drive<\/h2>\n<p>To get a car running you need, at minimum:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Car Battery<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Spark Plug<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Car Radiator<\/strong> (and water to fill it)<\/li>\n<li><strong>At least 3 wheels\/tyres<\/strong> to move it<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fuel<\/strong> in the tank<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The best place to find these parts is <strong>industrial buildings<\/strong> \u2014 garages, factories and warehouses.<\/p>\n<h2>How to repair<\/h2>\n<p>Look at the vehicle and use your action button to open the repair menu. Equip a <strong>toolkit<\/strong> (wrench\/screwdriver\/etc.) and replace or repair the broken parts \u2014 engine parts, the fuel tank, wheels. Damaged parts can sometimes be repaired rather than replaced.
