“Is Enshrouded crossplay?” is one of the most common questions from players waiting to team up with friends on PlayStation and Xbox. The short answer in 2026: Enshrouded does not currently support crossplay or cross-platform play, because it is still a PC-only game in Steam Early Access. Console versions are confirmed and on the way, but crossplay between PC and console has not been officially promised. Is Enshrouded crossplay right now?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No. As of mid-2026, Enshrouded is available only on PC (Steam Early Access, which launched January 24, 2024). Because there is just one platform, there is nothing to “cross” between \u2014 every player you team up with is also playing on PC. The game supports up to 16-player co-op, so the multiplayer is there; it simply lives entirely on PC for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enshrouded console release: PS5 and Xbox<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Developer Keen Games has confirmed that Enshrouded will leave Early Access and fully launch (version 1.0) on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The most recent public window for that 1.0 console launch is Fall 2026, with no exact date announced yet. A final major Early Access update is planned ahead of 1.0 and introduced the first version of the Adventure Sharing feature when it launched on April 21, 2026 \u2014 Adventure Sharing V1 is already live. Because these are roadmap dates, treat the timing as subject to change \u2014 the studio has shifted windows before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crucially, confirming the console launch is not<\/em> the same as confirming crossplay. As of this writing, Keen Games has not officially stated that PC, PS5, and Xbox players will be able to play together at launch, nor whether cross-progression (carrying a save between platforms) will be supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will crossplay come with the console launch?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s possible, but unconfirmed. The developers have acknowledged that crossplay is something players want, and many co-op survival titles do add cross-platform multiplayer around their full launch. However, there is no official promise that Enshrouded will ship crossplay on day one of its PS5 and Xbox release \u2014 and there’s no confirmed cross-progression either. Until Keen Games says otherwise, plan your co-op around playing on the same platform as your friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
