# Race Weekends (/docs/assetto-corsa/race-weekends)

import { Callout } from "fumadocs-ui/components/callout";

A **Race Weekend** is a group of sequential sessions you can run at any time — not back-to-back like a Custom Race, but spread out however your league likes. For example, run Qualifying on a Saturday and the Race on a Sunday. The Race Manager carries the **starting grid** forward between sessions for you and can organise entrants into **splits** based on their results.

Creating a Race Weekend [#creating-a-race-weekend]

1. From the sidebar open **Race Weekends → Create a new Race Weekend**.
2. Name it and add the **sessions** in order (for example Practice → Qualifying → Race). Each session is configured like a Custom Race — track, cars, length, and weather.
3. Add the **entrants** — the drivers and cars taking part.
4. Save the weekend. It appears under **Active** with its session count and entrant count.

Running the sessions [#running-the-sessions]

Open the weekend and run each session when it's time. After a session finishes:

* The **results carry forward** — the next session's grid is built from the previous one automatically.
* You can organise entrants into **splits** (for example top 20 in Split A, next 20 in Split B) based on results, then run each split.

Progress is shown as a percentage on the Race Weekends list so you can see how far through a weekend you are.

Reviewing and exporting [#reviewing-and-exporting]

Each session's results are saved like any other and appear under [Results](/docs/assetto-corsa/results-and-calendar). You can **export** a weekend to share or archive it.

  Like all events, a Race Weekend session only goes live when you start it and your server is reachable on its game ports. If a session starts but the server shows offline, see [Getting Into the Lobby](/docs/assetto-corsa/getting-into-lobby).
