How to Update or Change the Version of Your Avorion Server
How to update your Avorion server and switch between stable and beta branches.
Updating to Latest Stable
- Stop your server
- In the XGamingServer Panel, on the Dashboard, click Reinstall Server
- Wait for the update
- Start your server
Beta Branch
To use the beta/experimental branch, check your Startup tab for a beta branch field, or contact support.
⚠️ Warning: Downgrading from beta to stable will very likely corrupt your galaxy save. Always back up first.
After Updating
- All players must update their game client to match
- The
Versionfield inserver.iniupdates automatically - Mods may need updating — restart the server to auto-update Workshop mods
