How to Back Up & Manage Saves on Your Hytale Server
Built-in backup system, save management, and world reset for Hytale dedicated servers.
Built-in Backups
Add to startup:
--backup --backup-frequency 60 --backup-dir ./backups --backup-max-count 5| Flag | Default | Description |

Manual Save
/save
/save-allWorld Reset
- Stop server
- Delete the world folder from
universe/worlds/<WorldName>/ - Start — a new world generates
Multiple Worlds
Create additional folders in universe/worlds/. Each has its own config.json. Switch default with:
"Defaults": {"World": "world2"}Upload a Save
Copy the world folder contents to universe/worlds/<WorldName>/.
