# How To Change Max Players on Your Mordhau Server (/docs/mordhau/max-players)

Here is how to change the maximum player count on your Mordhau server.

    Log in to the [XGamingServer Panel](https://panel.xgamingserver.com) and select your Mordhau server. In the sidebar, click **Startup**.

    Find the **Max Players** field and set it to the number of player slots you want.

    > 📝 **Note:** Mordhau servers typically support up to 64 players. The ideal player count depends on the map and game mode. Frontline and Invasion work best with 48-64 players, while Deathmatch and Skirmish maps are better suited for smaller player counts.
