# Change Structure Damage Rate on Your Palworld Server (/docs/palworld/structure-damage)

Control how much damage structures take from attacks and natural decay.

Settings [#settings]

In `Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini`:

| Setting                              | Default | Description                       |
| ------------------------------------ | ------- | --------------------------------- |
| `BuildObjectDamageRate`              | `1.0`   | Damage to player-built structures |
| `BuildObjectDeteriorationDamageRate` | `1.0`   | Natural structure decay rate      |
| `BuildObjectHPRate`                  | `1.0`   | Structure HP multiplier           |

Common Values [#common-values]

* `0.0` — Structures take no damage (invulnerable bases)
* `0.5` — Half damage (more durable)
* `1.0` — Default
* `2.0` — Double damage (bases break faster)

> 💡 **Tip:** For PvE servers, set `BuildObjectDamageRate=0.5` to make bases more durable against raids. For PvP, keep at `1.0` or higher.
