# How to Back Up Your RuneScape: Dragonwilds Server Saves (/docs/runescape-dragonwilds/backup-saves)



Regular backups protect your RuneScape: Dragonwilds world from data loss due to corruption, accidental deletion, or failed updates.

Locating Your Save Files [#locating-your-save-files]

Save files are stored at:

```

World saves use the `.sav` file extension.

    Log in to the [XGamingServer Panel](https://panel.xgamingserver.com) and select your RuneScape: Dragonwilds server. In the sidebar, go to `Files`.

    Go to `RSDragonwilds/Saved/Savegames/`.

    Click on each `.sav` file and download it to your computer. Store these backups in a safe location — your PC, an external drive, or cloud storage.

    > 💡 **Tip:** Rename your backup files to include the date, e.g., `MyWorld_2026-03-31.sav`, so you can easily identify them later.
