How to Back Up Your RuneScape: Dragonwilds Server Saves
Protect your RuneScape: Dragonwilds world progress with regular save backups on XGamingServer.
Regular backups protect your RuneScape: Dragonwilds world from data loss due to corruption, accidental deletion, or failed updates.
Locating Your Save Files
Save files are stored at:
RSDragonwilds/Saved/Savegames/World saves use the .sav file extension.
Manual Backup
Open the File Manager
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your RuneScape: Dragonwilds server. In the sidebar, go to Files.
Navigate to the Savegames Folder
Go to RSDragonwilds/Saved/Savegames/.
Download Your Save Files
Click on each .sav file and download it to your computer. Store these backups in a safe location — your PC, an external drive, or cloud storage.
💡 Tip: Rename your backup files to include the date, e.g.,
MyWorld_2026-03-31.sav, so you can easily identify them later.
Automated Backups
XGamingServer supports scheduled backups through the panel:
Open Schedules
In the sidebar, go to Schedules.
Create a Backup Schedule
Create a new schedule and add a Create Backup task. Set the interval (e.g., every 6 hours, daily).
Manage Backups
View and restore backups from the Backups section in the sidebar.
Restoring a Backup
Stop Your Server
Stop your server from the panel.
Clear Current Saves
Navigate to RSDragonwilds/Saved/Savegames/ and delete the current save files.
Upload Your Backup
Upload your backed-up .sav file to the savegames folder.
Start Your Server
Start the server to load the restored world.
