The RuneScape: Dragonwilds **1.0 launch** (September 15, 2026) added **crossplay** — and dedicated servers support it. That means one persistent world your whole group can join from **PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2**, using a simple **invite code**.

<Callout type="info">
  Crossplay lets console and PC players share the same server. Because consoles can't run a dedicated server themselves, a hosted server is the way to give a console group an always-on crossplay world.

Turn On Crossplay [#turn-on-crossplay]

<Steps>
  <Step>
    Enable the crossplay option on your server [#enable-the-crossplay-option-on-your-server]

    In your [XGamingServer panel](https://panel.xgamingserver.com), open your RuneScape: Dragonwilds server and enable the **crossplay** option in your server settings, then start (or restart) the server so it applies.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Find your invite code [#find-your-invite-code]

    Once the crossplay server is running, its **invite code** is shown in the in-game **pause menu** when you're connected. Crossplay worlds also appear in the in-game **world browser**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Share the code with your group [#share-the-code-with-your-group]

    Send the invite code to your friends. On any platform — PC, PS5, Xbox or Switch 2 — they open the **world browser**, enter the **invite code**, and join your world.
  </Step>
</Steps>

How Players Join With an Invite Code [#how-players-join-with-an-invite-code]

Anyone you share the code with joins the same way, regardless of platform:

1. Open **RuneScape: Dragonwilds** and go to the **Worlds** screen.
2. Choose to join by **invite code**.
3. Enter the code from your pause menu.
4. They drop straight into your crossplay world.

Notes [#notes]

* Crossplay is a per-world option — on a dedicated server it's set in your server settings, not per-session.
* Invite codes are the simplest way to get console friends in, since they can't browse a server by IP the way PC players sometimes do.
* Your world stays online 24/7 on a dedicated server, so progress continues even when the host player is offline.
