How to find and read server logs for debugging your RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated server on XGamingServer.
Server logs are your best tool for understanding what's happening on your RuneScape: Dragonwilds server and diagnosing issues.
Finding the Log File
On XGamingServer
- Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your server
- In the sidebar, go to
Files - Navigate to:
RSDragonwilds/Saved/Logs/RSDragonwilds.logLive Console Output
You can also view real-time server output in the Console tab of the panel.
What to Look For
Server Version
The server version is displayed at the top of the log file. Compare this to your game client version (shown in the top-left corner of the screen) to ensure they match.
Startup Errors
Look for error messages during startup — these will tell you if:
- Mandatory config values are missing (Owner ID, Server Name, etc.)
- Port binding failed
- Save file loading failed
Connection Issues
If players report they can't connect, the logs will show:
- Whether the server registered with the server browser
- Connection attempts and failures
- Version mismatch warnings
Clearing Logs
Old logs can accumulate over time. To clear them:
- Stop your server
- Navigate to
RSDragonwilds/Saved/Logs/ - Delete old log files
- Start your server — a fresh log will be created
