Default Ports [#default-ports]

RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated servers use the following ports:

| Port     | Protocol | Description                                  |
| -------- | -------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| **7777** | UDP      | Primary game server port                     |
| **7778** | UDP      | Second server instance (if running multiple) |

Each additional server instance increments the port by 1 (7779, 7780, etc.).

XGamingServer Configuration [#xgamingserver-configuration]

XGamingServer handles all port configuration automatically. Your server's ports are pre-configured and accessible out of the box — no manual port forwarding is needed.

Your assigned port is visible in the [XGamingServer Panel](https://panel.xgamingserver.com) sidebar next to your server IP address.

Self-Hosting Port Requirements [#self-hosting-port-requirements]

If you're self-hosting (not on XGamingServer), you must ensure:

* Your **firewall** allows UDP traffic on port 7777
* Your **router** forwards port 7777 UDP to your server machine
* Your **ISP** doesn't block port forwarding

> ⚠️ **Note:** Some ISPs prevent port forwarding entirely. Others have admin tools that allow you to configure it. You may need to contact your ISP's support. The website [portforward.com](https://portforward.com) has detailed guides for most router models.

Common Self-Hosting Issues [#common-self-hosting-issues]

* **Server appears in browser but won't connect** — Port forwarding likely failed somewhere between you and your ISP.
* **Every router between you and your ISP** needs port forwarding configured, not just your main router.
