Updating on XGamingServer
Stop Your Server
Access the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your server.
Reinstall or Update
In the sidebar, go to Settings and click Reinstall Server. This will download the latest server files without affecting your save data or configuration.
Start Your Server
Start your server. It will now be running the latest version.
Checking Version Numbers
Server Version
The server version is displayed at the top of the server log file:
RSDragonwilds/Saved/Logs/RSDragonwilds.logClient Version
Your game client version is shown in the top-left corner of the screen when you launch the game.
⚠️ Important: If these versions don't match, players will not be able to see or connect to your server. Every hotfix and update requires both client and server to be on the same version.
When to Update
Update your server immediately whenever:
- A new game update or hotfix is released
- Players report they can't find the server in the browser
- The server logs show a version mismatch warning
