# RuneScape: Dragonwilds User Management (/docs/runescape-dragonwilds/user-management)



RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated servers have three user categories with different permission levels.

User Roles [#user-roles]

Owner [#owner]

The **Owner** is the player whose Player ID matches the `Owner ID` set in the server config. There is only one owner per server.

**Owner permissions:**

* Ban any player (online or offline)
* Unban any player
* Full Server Management access

Admin [#admin]

An **Admin** is anyone who has successfully entered the Admin Password in the Server Management screen.

**Admin permissions:**

* Ban regular users who are **online only**
* Cannot unban players
* Server Management access

Regular User [#regular-user]

All other players who connect are **regular users** with standard gameplay permissions.

Managing Players [#managing-players]

Banning a Player [#banning-a-player]

* **Owners** can ban any player from the Server Management screen, whether the player is online or offline.
* **Admins** can only ban regular users who are currently online.

Unbanning a Player [#unbanning-a-player]

Only the **Owner** can unban players.

Changing the Owner [#changing-the-owner]

To change the server owner, update the `Owner ID` in the config file to the new player's Player ID and restart the server.
