RuneScape: Dragonwilds User Management
Understand the Owner, Admin, and regular user roles on your RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated server.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated servers have three user categories with different permission levels.
User Roles
Owner
The Owner is the player whose Player ID matches the Owner ID set in the server config. There is only one owner per server.
Owner permissions:
- Ban any player (online or offline)
- Unban any player
- Full Server Management access
Admin
An Admin is anyone who has successfully entered the Admin Password in the Server Management screen.
Admin permissions:
- Ban regular users who are online only
- Cannot unban players
- Server Management access
Regular User
All other players who connect are regular users with standard gameplay permissions.
Managing Players
Banning a Player
- Owners can ban any player from the Server Management screen, whether the player is online or offline.
- Admins can only ban regular users who are currently online.
Unbanning a Player
Only the Owner can unban players.
Changing the Owner
To change the server owner, update the Owner ID in the config file to the new player's Player ID and restart the server.
See Adding Admins for details on setting up admin access.
