# RuneScape: Dragonwilds World Management Guide (/docs/runescape-dragonwilds/world-management)

This guide covers everything about managing worlds on your RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated server — from transferring local saves to creating new worlds with custom settings.

How Worlds Work on Dedicated Servers [#how-worlds-work-on-dedicated-servers]

When a RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated server starts, it loads the latest `.sav` file from the savegames folder. If no save file exists, the server creates a new default **Standard** world using the values from your `DedicatedServer.ini` config (Server Name, Default World Name, etc.).

Save files are located at:

```
RSDragonwilds/Saved/Savegames/
```
