# Satisfactory Advanced Game Settings on a Dedicated Server (/docs/satisfactory/advanced-game-settings)



**Advanced Game Settings (AGS)** — also called Creative Mode — unlocks cheat-like toggles for a save: no build cost, no power drain, god mode, unlimited inventory slots, flight, unlock all tiers/milestones, and setting the game phase directly. It's popular for creative building, testing factory layouts, or catching up a save.

The Trade-off: Achievements [#the-trade-off-achievements]

> ⚠️ **Enabling AGS permanently disables achievements for that save**, and **once enabled it cannot be turned off** for that save file. The game shows a warning before you confirm. If achievements matter to you, make a [backup save](/docs/satisfactory/save-management) first and enable AGS on a copy.

Enabling It on a Dedicated Server [#enabling-it-on-a-dedicated-server]

AGS is a **per-save** option, set by the **server admin** — not a startup flag or INI setting. You enable it when creating (or converting) the save:

1. Connect to your server through **Server Manager** as an admin — see [How to Join](/docs/satisfactory/join-server).
2. When **creating a new game** on the server, tick **Enable Advanced Game Settings** in the create-game options. (To convert an existing save, load it and enable AGS from the pause menu — remember this is one-way.)
3. Confirm the warning about achievements.

Once the save has AGS enabled, **all connected players** get access to the Creative Mode options.

Using the Toggles [#using-the-toggles]

After AGS is enabled, open them from the **Esc / pause menu → Advanced Game Settings**. Common toggles:

| Toggle                       | Effect                                |
| ---------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| No Build Cost                | Build without consuming materials     |
| No Power                     | Machines run without electricity      |
| Disable Arachnid Creatures   | Replaces spiders (arachnophobia mode) |
| God Mode                     | Player takes no damage                |
| Flight Mode                  | Free-fly the map                      |
| Unlock All Milestones / Tech | Skip the progression grind            |
| Give Items                   | Spawn items into inventory            |
| Set Game Phase               | Jump the tech tier / phase            |

Each toggle can be switched on and off individually at any time from that menu — it's the initial **enabling of AGS** that is permanent, not the individual toggles.
