# Backups & Saves (/docs/stardew-valley/backups)



JunimoServer **automatically backs up your farm** on a schedule, so you can recover if something goes wrong.

Where saves live [#where-saves-live]

Your farm save is stored under the server's files at:

.config/StardewValley/Saves/
```

Automatic backups are kept alongside the save data. You can browse and download these from the panel **Files** tab.

Download a backup [#download-a-backup]

1. Open the **Files** tab.
2. Navigate to the saves/backup folder.
3. Select a save folder and **Download** (or compress then download) to keep a copy off-server.

Restore a save [#restore-a-save]

1. **Stop** the server.
2. In the **Files** tab, replace the current save folder under `.config/StardewValley/Saves/` with the backup you want to restore.
3. **Start** the server.

> Always stop the server before swapping save files, and keep a copy of the current save first in case you need to roll back the rollback.

Import an existing farm [#import-an-existing-farm]

Upload your existing Stardew Valley save folder into `.config/StardewValley/Saves/` while the server is stopped, then start it. The server will host that farm.
