# StarRupture Server System Requirements (/docs/starrupture/system-requirements)



This page covers the system requirements for running a StarRupture dedicated server. If you're using XGamingServer, these requirements are handled for you — just pick a plan and start playing.

Server Requirements [#server-requirements]

| Specification | Minimum              | Recommended            |

| **CPU**       | Quad-core processor  | Intel i7 or equivalent |
| **RAM**       | 8 GB                 | 16 GB+                 |
| **Storage**   | SSD (10 GB free)     | NVMe SSD               |

| **OS**        | Windows Server 2019+ | Windows Server 2022    |

> 📝 **Note:** Late-game factories with many machines and conveyor belts require more resources. If you notice lag as your base grows, consider upgrading your server plan.

Network Ports [#network-ports]

Your server needs these ports open for players to connect:

| **7777**  | UDP      | Game traffic |
| **27015** | UDP      | Steam query  |

Player Count and Performance [#player-count-and-performance]

StarRupture officially supports up to **4 players** in co-op. Performance considerations:

| Players | Expected Performance                       |
| ------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| 1-2     | Smooth, minimal resource usage             |
| 3-4     | Good with recommended specs                |
| 5+      | Experimental, may cause desync and crashes |

> ⚠️ **Warning:** Running more than 4 players is not officially supported and can cause instability. Stick to the recommended limit for the best experience.

Client Requirements [#client-requirements]

Players connecting to your server need to meet the game's minimum requirements:
