How to Set a Password on Your TF2 Server

Password protect your Team Fortress 2 dedicated server.

In the XGamingServer Panel, click Startup in the sidebar.

Find the Password field and enter your password.

Restart from Console to apply.

In Files, open tf/cfg/server.cfg.

sv_password "YourPassword"

For a public server, leave it empty:

sv_password ""

connect 123.45.67.89:27015; password "YourPassword"
