How to Set Up a Whitelist on Your Vintage Story Server

Restrict your Vintage Story server to approved players only using the whitelist system.

Whitelist mode is on by default for Vintage Story dedicated servers. Only whitelisted players can connect.

Manage the Whitelist

In Console (or in-game chat as admin):

/whitelist playername add

/whitelist playername remove

To allow anyone to join, set WhitelistMode in serverconfig.json:

"WhitelistMode": "Off"

Or change it live: /serverconfig WhitelistMode Off

For versions before 1.20, the setting is "OnlyWhitelisted": false instead.
