## About Schedule 1

Schedule I is an Early Access open-world crime simulator from **TVGS**, released March 24, 2025 on Steam (App ID **3164500**). You build a drug empire from a starting motel room in the fictional city of **Hyland Point** — manufacture recipes, automate production chains, hire employees, buy properties, fight rival cartels, and dodge police.

- **Release:** Early Access on March 24, 2025 (full release targeted Q4 2027)
- **Developer / Publisher:** TVGS
- **Platforms:** Windows PC only (no Xbox, no PlayStation, no cross-play)
- **Vanilla multiplayer cap:** 4 players co-op via Steam P2P
- **Engine:** Unity (Il2Cpp / Mono backends)

## Does Schedule 1 have dedicated servers?

**No official dedicated server exists.** The base game uses Steam P2P co-op where the host is authoritative — if the host logs off, the world is gone.

The open-source **S1 DedicatedServerMod** (`ifBars/S1DedicatedServers` on GitHub, GPL-3.0) provides true headless authoritative dedicated servers with:

- Save / load / time / sleep / multiplayer flow preserved
- Operator and admin systems with permission-based commands
- Remote console (RCON)
- Optional localhost web panel
- Mono and Il2Cpp support (Il2Cpp in beta)
- Docker deploy paths

XGamingServer pre-installs **MelonLoader + S1 DedicatedServerMod** on every Schedule 1 plan — no manual setup required.

## FAQ

### Does Schedule 1 have an official dedicated server?

No — Schedule I from TVGS uses Steam P2P co-op out of the box. The open-source S1 DedicatedServerMod (`ifBars/S1DedicatedServers`, GPL-3.0) provides true headless dedicated hosting and is what every commercial Schedule 1 host (including XGamingServer) builds on. The mod is community-built and explicitly not officially affiliated with TVGS.

### How many players does Schedule 1 support?

4 vanilla, up to 20 with the MultiplayerPlus mod from Thunderstore. Our Starter tier is sized for 4 players, Novice handles up to 10 modded players, Rookie hits the full 20-player MultiplayerPlus cap with headroom for content mods.

### How do I install mods on my Schedule 1 server?

MelonLoader is the universal Unity mod loader — pre-installed on every XGamingServer plan at the correct version. Mods are distributed via Thunderstore (thunderstore.io/c/schedule-i/) and Nexus Mods. Download the `.dll` and drop it into the server's `Mods/` folder via the panel file manager or SFTP. Server-side mods like MultiplayerPlus and DedicatedServerMod install the same way.

### Does Schedule 1 support Xbox or PlayStation cross-play?

No. Schedule I is Windows PC only (Steam). TVGS has not announced console versions. Linux client support is unofficial via Proton / Wine.

### How much RAM does a Schedule 1 server need?

Schedule I runs on Unity, so the headless footprint is smaller than UE5 survival games. 4 GB is comfortable for 4 vanilla players, 6 GB suits up to 10 modded players, 8 GB is recommended for the full 20-player MultiplayerPlus cap with content mods. Single-thread CPU speed matters more than thread count — the Unity simulation loop is per-core sensitive.

### What is the S1 DedicatedServerMod and is it safe?

S1 DedicatedServers is an open-source mod by ifBars (GitHub: `ifBars/S1DedicatedServers`) released under GPL-3.0. It's the de-facto community standard for headless Schedule I hosting and the basis for the documentation at docs.s1servers.com. The mod is *not officially affiliated with or endorsed by TVGS* — that's stated openly in its README. XGamingServer keeps the version aligned with the latest stable release on every plan.

### Can I host a Schedule 1 server for free on my own PC?

Yes via Steam P2P, but the world only exists while you're logged in — log off and your friends drop. You can self-install MelonLoader + DedicatedServerMod on your own machine but you'll handle MelonLoader version pinning, UDP port forwarding, DDoS exposure, 24/7 uptime, and Steam updates yourself. Paid hosting from $7/mo skips all of that.

### Is Schedule 1 still in Early Access?

Yes — launched in Early Access on March 24, 2025 with full release expected Q4 2027. TVGS ships regular updates, so mod compatibility can shift between patches. Our panel makes it easy to pin MelonLoader versions and roll back from automated backups if a patch breaks your modlist.
