Transfer a Local Galaxy Save to Your Avorion Server
Transfer your local Avorion galaxy save to your dedicated server with this step-by-step upload guide.
This guide walks you through uploading an existing galaxy save to your Avorion server.

⚠️ Warning: This will delete or overwrite any progress you have made on the server.
Finding Your Local Save File
Open Your Galaxies Folder
On your keyboard, press Windows Key + R and enter:
%appdata%\Avorion\galaxiesCopy Your Galaxy Save
Each folder here is a galaxy save. Find the one you want to migrate and copy the entire folder.
Uploading Your Save to Your Server
Stop Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your Avorion server.
Connect via SFTP
Connect to your server using SFTP and navigate to /galaxy/.
Upload Your Save Folder
Upload your local galaxy save folder into the /galaxy/ directory.
Set the Galaxy Name
In the panel sidebar, go to Startup. Under Advanced, edit Galaxy Name to match the name of your uploaded save folder.
Start Your Server
Start your server to load the uploaded galaxy.
📝 Note: Make sure the
Galaxy Namefield exactly matches the name of your uploaded save folder.
