DoD:S Server Map Rotation Setup
Set up a custom map rotation on your Day of Defeat: Source dedicated server by editing the mapcycle.txt file.
Creating custom map cycles is an important step in customizing your DoD:S server. This guide shows you how to create your own map rotation.
Editing mapcycle.txt
The mapcycle file is not created by default. Follow these steps to set up a map rotation.
Select Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your server.
Navigate to the Config Directory
Go to Files and navigate to /dod/cfg/.
Create Your Mapcycle File
Copy mapcycle_default.txt and rename the copied file to mapcycle.txt.
Add Your Maps
Open mapcycle.txt and add your desired maps (one per line), then click save.
Restart Your Server
Restart your server for the map rotation to take effect.
