Granting Admin Permissions on Your SCUM Server

Grant admin permissions on your SCUM dedicated server by editing the ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini and AdminUsers.ini files.

Managing player permissions and granting administrative privileges is essential for maintaining a healthy gaming environment. Your SCUM server uses two separate files to handle different types of admin permissions.

Server Settings Admin Access

ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini allows you to access the in-game Server Settings menu to configure your server.

Stop Your Server

Access the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your SCUM server.

Navigate to the Config File

In the sidebar, click on Files. Navigate to /SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ and open the file named ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini.

Add Your Steam ID

Add a new entry on its own line in SteamID64 format:

76561198072786081

Start Your Server

Start your server for the changes to take effect.

General Admin Commands

AdminUsers.ini allows you to use in-game admin commands for general server management.

Stop Your Server

Access the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your SCUM server.

Navigate to the Config File

In the sidebar, click on Files. Navigate to /SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ and open the file named AdminUsers.ini.

Add Your Steam ID

Add a new entry on its own line in SteamID64 format:

Start Your Server

Start your server for the changes to take effect.
