SCUM Server Configuration Guide
Complete guide to configuring your SCUM dedicated server including basic panel settings, in-game server settings, and manual ServerSettings.ini editing.
This guide covers every way to configure your SCUM server, from basic panel settings to advanced file editing.
Basic Server Configuration
Basic settings such as Server Password, Server Name, Max Players, and more can be configured directly in our game panel.
Stop Your Server
Access the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your server.
Open Startup Settings
In the sidebar, click Startup.
Edit Your Settings
Adjust any of the available settings to your preference.
Start Your Server
Start your server for the changes to take effect.
Using the In-Game Server Settings Menu (Recommended)
This is the recommended way to configure your server outside of basic settings. Before proceeding, ensure that you have added yourself as an admin, as this is required to access server settings in-game. See our Adding Admins guide.
Connect to Your Server
Join your SCUM server.
Open Server Settings
Press Esc to open the menu and go to Server Settings.
Configure Your Settings
Adjust your server settings as needed. Changes apply immediately.
Manual ServerSettings.ini Configuration
If you prefer to configure gameplay settings through your server files, this is how to find and edit your ServerSettings.ini file. This is an advanced alternative method.
Stop Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your server.
Open the Config File
Go to Files and navigate to SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ServerSettings.ini.
Edit and Save
Adjust your desired settings and click save.
Start Your Server
Start your server for the changes to take effect.
