Transferring a Return to Moria Save to Your Server

Transfer your local LotR Return to Moria world save to your dedicated server from Steam or Epic Games.

This guide walks you through uploading an existing world save to your The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria server.

Steam Save File Location

Open Your Save Folder

Press Windows Key + R and enter:

%localappdata%\Moria\Saved\SaveGamesSteam

Find Your World File

Locate your world file, for example: MW_6BE7222A40EB974D3499BAB262B5D8D7.sav

📝 Note: If you have multiple worlds and you are not sure which is which, rename your world in-game and reload the folder to see what was last modified.

Epic Games Save File Location

Open Your Save Folder

Press Windows Key + R and enter:

%localappdata%\Moria\Saved\SaveGamesEpic

Find Your World File

Locate your world file, for example: MW_6BE7222A40EB974D3499BAB262B5D8D7.sav

📝 Note: If you have multiple worlds and you are not sure which is which, rename your world in-game and reload the folder to see what was last modified.

Uploading Your Save to Your Server

Stop Your Server

Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your server.

Set the World Filename

In the sidebar, go to Files. Open MoriaServerConfig.ini and edit OptionalWorldFilename= to the name of your save file, excluding the .sav extension.

For example:

[World]
OptionalWorldFilename=MW_6BE7222A40EB974D3499BAB262B5D8D7

Upload Your Save File

Navigate to Moria/Saved/SaveGamesDedicated and upload your .sav file.

Start Your Server

Start your server to load the uploaded world.
