ID 199
Quickly approaches the enemy and launches a slash. Release the skill again to perform another slash and roll backwards. Gains Invulnerability when performing the slash or rolling.
ID 101
Makes a forward dash and slashes the enemy, dealing damage twice and inflicting "Slash Wound": when using Sprint during this period, speed will be reduced by 80% for 5 seconds.
ID 102
Concentrates strength on the right arm before unleashing a fatal slash that deals a great amount of damage to the enemy. If used by a player, the target is also prevented from locking onto other players for 10 seconds. Afterwards, the unit and any allies within 5 meters become untargetable and elusive to all ranged weapons for 10 seconds.
ID 103
Dash toward the enemies and slashes, dealing one-time damage and reducing their ATK by 10% (half effect on bosses), up to 3 stacks.
ID 104
Lifts the target into the air before releasing the skill again for an aerial follow-up attack. When used by a player, the first hit deals damage and inflicts the "aerial disarm" status on the target. While airborne, the target will be forced to sheath their weapon.
ID 105
Dashes forward and flips, slashing at the enemy to deal damage twice, with a chance for the second hit to cause a knockdown. When used by a player, the attack deals damage and temporarily nullifies the target's damage reduction effects.
ID 106
Grants status: Can attack the target by rolling with less consumption or changing actions.
ID 198
Sprints toward the target nearby and slashes it down, then enters a 5-second cooldown. When the target is riding a mount, increases DMG by 50% and Crit by 100%.
ID 197
Offer blood to the Soul of Blade for a boon, significantly increasing Attack Speed and Damage while wielding a single blade.
Complete ability list grouped by weapon mastery type.
Soulmask uses a 9-weapon mastery system where each weapon type has its own progression tree of abilities unlocked through use. Total: 88 abilities across Blade (9), Spear (11), Bow (9), Hammer (9), Shield (10), Gauntlets (12), Dual Blades (10), Greatsword (9), and Whip (9). Each weapon has one starting ability (auto-unlocked) plus a roster of higher-tier moves with chance-to-learn rolls at proficiency level 30, 60, 90, and 120.
Pick a weapon tab to see its full ability list. Each card shows the ability icon (32×32 in-game asset), name, description (precise mechanical text — "approaches the enemy and launches a slash, gains Invulnerability during the slash"), and the chance to learn at each level threshold. Many late-game abilities show single-digit chances at level 60 (e.g. 5%) but climb sharply by 120 (often 50-100%). Plan accordingly — if you want a specific ability, focus your weapon use until you hit the threshold where its chance becomes meaningful.
Search across all 88 abilities at once if you remember a name fragment but not the weapon (e.g. "backstab", "throw", "counter"). Useful when chasing a specific build archetype: search "defensive" or "counter" to find all parry/counter-attack abilities across Shield, Greatsword, and Gauntlets.
Combat archetypes by weapon: **Blade** = mobile DPS, Tiger Strike + Iaido styling. **Spear** = midrange poke + ultimate javelin throw. **Bow** = ranged sustain with crit-chain abilities. **Hammer** = heavy single-target with stagger emphasis. **Shield** = defensive tank, parries and bashes. **Gauntlets** = aggressive grapple/throw, highest ability count (12). **Dual Blades** = burst combo, fast attack chains. **Greatsword** = wide-arc AoE, high posture damage. **Whip** = utility/control, pull-and-stagger pattern.
Mastery progression is shared with the proficiency system used in crafting — leveling a weapon proficiency unlocks both its abilities and the recipes you can craft for it. Combine this tool with the Recipe Browser to plan: which weapon you're mastering, what gear you need to craft, and which boss/enemy to fight to push proficiency XP. For XGamingServer admins, weapon ability chances are baseline — server-side multipliers like AbilityLearnRate can be tuned in GameXishu.json via the Server Config Generator on this site.
9 weapon mastery types: Blade, Spear, Bow, Hammer, Shield, Gauntlets, Dual Blades, Greatsword, and Whip. Total of 88 abilities across all types — Gauntlets has the most (12), Blade/Bow/Hammer/Greatsword/Whip the fewest (9 each).
Each ability has a chance-to-learn at proficiency levels 30, 60, 90, and 120. Use a weapon to gain proficiency XP — at each threshold, the game rolls your chance for each unlearned ability of that weapon. Late-game abilities (high difficulty) start with single-digit chances at level 60 and climb sharply by 120.
Each weapon has one ability marked as Starting — automatically unlocked when you first equip the weapon. Examples: Blade gets Tiger Strike (mobile slash + roll), Spear gets Ultimate Throw (throw + retrieve), Greatsword gets Crushing Strike. These are the always-available openers for that weapon.
Gauntlets has 12 abilities — the most of any weapon type. Spear is second with 11, then Shield/Dual Blades at 10. Blade, Bow, Hammer, Greatsword, and Whip have 9 each.
Soulmask doesn't have a traditional respec — proficiency XP is earned per weapon and persists. To switch focus, simply pick up a different weapon and start using it. You don't lose old proficiency, but you don't gain XP for weapons you're not using either. Plan your loadout, but you're not locked in.
Yes. The Server Config Generator on this site exposes weapon-related multipliers including ability-learning rate. Set higher values to make rare abilities more reliable to unlock. The base chances shown here are vanilla baseline.
