Adding Admins to Your Abiotic Factor Server
Learn how to add admins to your Abiotic Factor dedicated server using an admin password or the Admin.ini config file.
Managing player permissions is essential for maintaining a healthy gaming environment on your Abiotic Factor server. You can grant admin privileges using an Admin Password or the Admin.ini file.
Using an Admin Password (Recommended)
Set the Admin Password
Access the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your Abiotic Factor server. In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Configure the Password
Under Basic, set an Admin Password and then Restart your server.
Become Admin In-Game
Connect to your server, press Esc to open the menu, and select Player Management. Click Admin and enter your Admin Password.
Using the Admin.ini File
This method can be used as an alternative to setting an Admin Password.
Open Your Server Files
Access the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your Abiotic Factor server. In the sidebar, click on Files.
Navigate to the Admin File
Go to the AbioticFactor/Saved/SaveGames/Server/ folder and find the file named Admin.ini.
Add Your Steam ID
Add a new entry on its own line in SteamID64 format. It should look like this:

Moderator=76561198106341655Restart Your Server
Restart your server to apply the changes.
Access the Admin Menu
After setting yourself as admin, here is how to open the Abiotic Factor admin menu.
Connect to Your Server
Open Abiotic Factor and connect to your server.
Open the Admin Panel
Press Esc to open the menu and click Admin.
