Switch Between Hytale Server Versions
Learn how to switch your Hytale server between stable and pre-release versions.
This guide explains how to switch your Hytale server to the pre-release channel.
⚠️ Warning: Pre-release builds are for bug testing and development only. They may contain unstable features or breaking changes. Do not use pre-release for your main server.
Changing Server Version
Open Startup Settings
Access the XGamingServer Panel and select your Hytale server. In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Change Release Channel
Find the Release Channel option and change it from stable to pre-release.
Restart Your Server
Restart your server to download and apply the pre-release version.
💡 Tip: To switch back to stable, change the Release Channel back to
stableand restart.
