Reset and Reinstall Your Hytale Server

Learn how to completely reset your Hytale dedicated server to start fresh with a clean installation.

Here is how to reset your Hytale server to start completely fresh. This is useful if you've made a mistake that cannot be undone or want a brand new world.

Resetting Your Server

⚠️ Warning: This will permanently delete all your server data including worlds, configurations, and backups. This should only be used as a last resort.

Stop Your Server

Access the XGamingServer Panel and select your server. Make sure it is fully stopped.

Delete All Server Files

In the sidebar, go to Files. Delete all folders and files so the file manager is completely empty.

Reinstall the Server

In the sidebar, go to Dashboard. Click Reinstall Server and wait for the installation to finish.

Start Your Server

Once the reinstall is complete, start your server. It will generate a fresh world on first boot.
