Valheim Boss Progression Tracker

Valheim has 8 bosses, one per biome, fought in order. Each one drops the material that opens the next stage: Eikthyr (Meadows, 500 HP) drops Hard Antler for the Antler Pickaxe, the first tool that mines copper and tin. The Elder (Black Forest, 2,500 HP) drops the Swamp Key for the Sunken Crypts. Bonemass (Swamp, 5,000 HP) drops the Wishbone, which finds buried silver and treasure. Moder (Mountain, 7,500 HP) drops Dragon Tears for the Artisan Table. Yagluth (Plains, 10,000 HP) drops Torn Spirit for the Wisp Fountain. The Queen (Mistlands, 12,500 HP) drops Majestic Carapace. Fader (Ashlands, 25,000 HP) is summoned with a Bell, and Kall Fimbulbringer (Deep North, about 47,000 HP over three phases) is the final boss added in 1.0.

Hang each boss trophy at the Sacrificial Stones to unlock its Forsaken Power, a 5-minute buff on a 20-minute cooldown: less run and jump stamina from Eikthyr, faster tree chopping from the Elder, less physical damage taken from Bonemass, a constant sailing tailwind from Moder, less elemental damage taken from Yagluth and faster Eitr regeneration from the Queen.

Every boss has its own resistances, and getting them wrong makes a fight far longer. Bonemass is weak to blunt and frost but very resistant to pierce and fire, which is why the Iron Mace is the classic pick. The Elder is very weak to fire. Moder is weak to fire and immune to frost, so frost arrows do nothing. Yagluth very strongly resists pierce and resists fire. Fader is immune to fire and spirit, and Kall Fimbulbringer resists pierce and every element, so bring blunt or slash weapons.
