Setting Up a Map Rotation on Your CSGO Server
Set up a custom map rotation on your CSGO dedicated server by editing mapcycle.txt.
Creating custom map cycles is an important step in customizing your Counter-Strike: Global Offensive server. This guide shows you how to create your own map rotation.
Editing mapcycle.txt
The mapcycle file is not created by default. Follow these steps to set up a map rotation.
Open the File Manager
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your server. Go to Files and enter the csgo folder.
Edit the Mapcycle File
Edit mapcycle.txt, add your desired maps, and click save. The maps available for this file are found in /csgo/maps/.
Restart Your Server
Restart your server to apply the new map rotation.
📝 Note: If you are using SourceMod, we also recommend copying the contents of your
mapcycle.txtfile tomaplists.txt.
