Changing Maps on Your CSGO Server
Upload custom maps or change the default map on your Counter-Strike Global Offensive dedicated server, including live map switching via console.
This guide covers how to upload custom maps and change the default map on your CSGO server.
Uploading Your Custom Map
Maps are commonly found from public FastDL repositories or sites such as GameBanana. Your server will need to be restarted so the FastDL system can automatically sync your added files -- connecting users will not receive the files until the sync is completed.
Stop Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your CSGO server.
Upload the Map
Using SFTP, upload your map.bsp file to csgo/maps.
Start Your Server
Start your server to trigger the FastDL sync.
Changing Your CSGO Server Default Map
Open the Startup Page
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your CSGO server. In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Set the Default Map
Find the Default Map setting and enter your desired map name.
Restart Your Server
Restart your server to apply the change.
💡 Tip: You can also change maps while your server is running by typing
map mapnameinto your server console.
