Estimate the capture probability for any of 227Palworld Pals. Pick a sphere tier, enter the Pal's remaining HP %, layer status effects (Wet, Frozen, Shocked, etc.), add Lifmunk Effigy and back-shot bonuses, then see your single-throw chance and average throws-to-capture. Sphere capture power values from palworld.wiki.gg/Spheres (April 2026).

The exact in-game formula isn't officially documented. This calculator uses the community-accepted approximation that matches palworld.gg/capture-rate, paltamer.com, and palpedia.com results. Real captures still have RNG — the % shown is per-throw odds, not a guarantee.

Sphere Capture Power

• Pal Sphere — Power +7, unlock at level 1.
• Mega Sphere — Power +14, unlock at level 7.
• Giga Sphere — Power +20, unlock at level 16.
• Hyper Sphere — Power +26, unlock at level 26.
• Ultra Sphere — Power +32, unlock at level 36.
• Legendary Sphere — Power +37, unlock at level 46.
• Ultimate Sphere — Power +43, unlock at level 50.

Higher-tier spheres add more catch power per throw. Always carry the highest you can craft — a Hyper Sphere costs ~3× more materials than a Mega but multiplies your effective catch rate.

How to Maximise Catch Rate

1. Weaken HP to under 20% — biggest single multiplier. Each missing % HP adds sphere-power × 1.
2. Apply a status effect — Frozen and Shocked give +50% (best). Wet and Burning give +30%. Stack two for ~+95%.
3. Back-shot — throw from behind for ×1.5. Sneak attacks, post-fight escape captures.
4. Sleep first — Asleep adds ×1.5. Use Hangyu, Daedream, or sleep arrows.
5. Collect Lifmunk Effigies — turn into the Wandering Merchant for permanent +1% capture rate per effigy, capped at 60.
6. Use the right sphere tier — match or exceed the Pal's level for full sphere power.
7. Server multiplier — set PalCaptureRate=2.0 in your server config for 2× chance.
