World resource map — Satisfactory 1.0

Every raw resource node on the map. Pure / Normal / Impure counts are the number of node deposits in the game world. World max is the theoretical extraction ceiling if every node is mined at 100% with the given Mk of miner.

Water and Crude Oil use extractors, not miners — Water at 120 m³/min per extractor (unlimited locations), Crude Oil with the purity table above. Nitrogen Gas needs a Resource Well Pressurizer on a well with satellite nodes (150 MW). Mk.3 miner theoretical max is capped by belt speed (780/min at Mk.6 belt) in practice.

Plan Satisfactory resource extraction with real node numbers

Satisfactory 1.0 has a fixed world map — 120 Iron Ore nodes, 69 Copper, 50 Coal, 31 Caterium, 20 Sam, and so on, each rated Pure / Normal / Impure. The output of a miner depends on all four variables: resource purity, miner Mk.1/2/3, count, and overclock percentage. Miss the math and you either overbuild the miner hall or starve your factory downstream. This calculator runs the numbers instantly.

Add a row per miner group: pick resource → pick purity → Mk.1 / Mk.2 / Mk.3 → how many miners → overclock %. Each row shows its items-per-minute output. Totals across rows are summed per resource and shown against the WORLD MAXIMUM for that resource at your default Mk — so you can see "I'm extracting 2160 Iron Ore/min, that's 8% of the world max at Mk.2".

The world resource reference table at the bottom lists every raw resource with its Pure/Normal/Impure node counts and theoretical world ceiling at each miner tier (Mk.1: 70,800 Iron/min total, Mk.2: 141,600, Mk.3: 283,200). Mk.3 is limited by belt throughput in practice (780/min per miner at Mk.6 belt), but the theoretical ceiling is the starting point for factory planning.

Solid miner yields are 30 (impure) / 60 (normal) / 120 (pure) items/min at Mk.1 100%. Mk.2 doubles this (60/120/240). Mk.3 quadruples (120/240/480). Overclock linearly scales — 150% overclock on a Pure Mk.2 miner = 360 items/min. Oil Extractors run at 60/120/240 m³/min (oil uses the same purity tiers). Water Extractors are fixed 120 m³/min regardless of location. Resource Well Pressurizers + satellite nodes handle Nitrogen Gas and Crude Oil wells — treat each well's satellite cluster like a single composite node.

Pairs with the Production Calculator on this site — once you know a factory needs 240 Iron Ore/min, come here to plan which Pure + Normal + Impure nodes to drop Mk.2 miners on. Pairs with the Power Calculator too — extraction is your first bottleneck; power is usually your second.

Satisfactory Resource Calculator — FAQ

How much Iron Ore is there on the Satisfactory map?

120 Iron Ore nodes total (46 Pure + 41 Normal + 33 Impure). That's 70,800 items/min at Mk.1 100%, 141,600 at Mk.2, or 283,200 at Mk.3 (belt-capped in practice). Iron is the most abundant metal ore — Copper has only 69 nodes, Bauxite only 20.

What's the yield of a Mk.3 Miner at 250% overclock?

Mk.3 base yield is 4× Mk.1 — so 120 (impure), 240 (normal), 480 (pure) items/min at 100%. At 250% overclock those become 300 / 600 / 1200 items/min. Mk.6 Belts cap at 780/min so even a 1200/min miner output needs belt splitting or T-sections to avoid backup.

Where's Uranium on the map?

7 nodes total: 1 Pure (Northern Forest), 3 Normal, 3 Impure — all in the northern-most biomes. 2,100 items/min world max at Mk.1. Plan your Uranium Fuel Rod factory carefully — you can't expand extraction the way you can with Iron.

What are the SAM nodes in 1.0?

Satisfactory 1.0 added Special Alloy Metal (SAM) — 20 nodes total (7 Pure, 7 Normal, 6 Impure), world max 10,200 items/min at Mk.1. Used for Reanimated SAM, SAM Fluctuator, and endgame recipes leading to Alien Power Matrix and Ficsonium Fuel Rod. Nodes are scattered across late-game biomes (Spire Coast, Dune Desert, Red Bamboo Forest).

Can I overclock past 100%?

Yes — up to 250% with Power Shards. Each shard gives 50% overclock (1 shard = 150%, 2 shards = 200%, 3 shards = 250%). Overclocking is super-linear on POWER though — a 250% miner draws ~2.78× its base power. For min-power designs, more miners at 100% beats fewer at high overclock.
