Downgrade the ARK Survival Evolved Game Client Version
Learn how to change your ARK Survival Evolved game version on Steam to match an older server version or access beta branches.
If you need to play on an ARK Survival Evolved server running an older version, you will need to downgrade your game client to match. Here is how to do it.
Downgrading Your Game Version
Open Steam Properties
Open Steam and click Library. Right-click ARK Survival Evolved and select Properties.
Select the Beta Branch
Go to Game Versions & Betas and choose the beta branch you want to use.
Launch the Game
Launch ARK Survival Evolved. Steam will download the appropriate version.
⚠️ Warning: You may experience issues with any game rollback. Always back up your saves first.
