Change the Version of Your BeamMP Server

Learn how to change the version of your BeamMP dedicated server to run an older or pre-release version for compatibility or testing.

Sometimes you might want to switch your BeamMP server to a different version. Common reasons include:

  • Accessing new features available in a pre-release version.
  • Maintaining compatibility with specific mods or tracks that require an older version.
  • Troubleshooting issues by reverting to a previous stable release.

Changing Your BeamMP Server Version

Find the Version Number

Find the version you want from the BeamMP Server Releases page (e.g., v3.9.0).

Open the Startup Settings

Access the XGamingServer Panel and select your BeamMP server. In the sidebar, go to Startup.

Set the Version

Change the BeamMP Server Version to your desired version (e.g., v3.9.0).

Reinstall the Server

Navigate to Dashboard and click Reinstall Server. This will reinstall the server with the specified version without deleting any mods or tracks.

Start Your Server

Start your server. You can verify the version has changed by checking the version number in the server console.

📝 Note: Due to recent BeamMP changes, your server version must be at least v3.9.0 to be publicly listed in the server browser.
