How to Connect PlayStation Players to Your Minecraft Bedrock Server

Allow PS4 and PS5 players to join your Minecraft Bedrock Edition dedicated server by configuring DNS settings with BedrockConnect.

By default, PlayStation players can only connect to official servers in Minecraft Bedrock. However, you can change your PlayStation's DNS settings to allow connection to third-party servers like yours using BedrockConnect.

Changing DNS Settings on PlayStation

Open Network Settings

Go to SettingsNetwork.

Set Up Internet Connection

Select Set Up Internet Connection and choose your connection method (Wi-Fi or LAN cable).

Choose Custom Setup

Select Custom setup.

Set Manual DNS

When prompted for DNS settings, choose Manual. Enter these DNS addresses:

  • Primary DNS: 45.55.68.52
  • Secondary DNS: 8.8.8.8

Complete Setup

Finish the setup and restart your console.

Connecting to Your Server

Find Your Server IP

Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your Minecraft server. Copy the server IP address from the sidebar.

Open Minecraft

Launch Minecraft and click Play.

Select a Server

Go to Servers and select any available server.

Connect to a Custom Server

Click Connect to a Server and enter your server's IP address and port.

Example: If your server IP is 198.137.23.46:7781, enter:

Server Address: 198.137.23.46
Port: 7781

Join

Click Connect to join your server.

Alternative DNS Servers

If the main BedrockConnect server is unavailable, try these alternatives:

  • UK Server: 213.171.211.142
  • Germany Server: 217.160.58.93

Troubleshooting

  • Double-check your DNS settings are saved correctly
  • Try a different DNS server from the list above
  • Make sure your server is online and running
