How to Upload an Existing World to Your Minecraft Bedrock Server
Transfer your singleplayer or local Minecraft Bedrock Edition world to your dedicated server at XGamingServer.
Here is how to upload an existing world to your Minecraft Bedrock server. This is also a great way to install behavior packs — enable them on your local world first, then upload it.
⚠️ Warning: This guide only works with PC saves. Saves from Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile platforms cannot be transferred to dedicated servers.
If you get stuck at any time, join our Discord and we will help you out. XGamingServer also offers free server transfers.
Exporting Your World
Open Your World List
Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition and click Play to find your world list.
Open World Settings
Click the pencil icon next to the world you want to export.
Export the World
Under General, scroll down and select Export World. Save the .mcworld file to an easy-to-find location.
Preparing Your World Files
Rename the File
Locate your exported .mcworld file and rename the extension to .zip (for example, MyWorld.mcworld → MyWorld.zip).
Extract the Files
Right-click the .zip file and click Extract All.
Create a World Folder
Create a new folder with a recognizable name (for example, MyWorld123) and move all the extracted files into it.
