How To Connect To Your Rust Server
Learn how to join your Rust dedicated server using the IP address.
Once your Rust server is up and running, you can connect to it using the in-game console. This is the most reliable way to join your server directly.
How to Connect Using the Console
Find Your Server IP
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your Rust server. Your server IP address and port are displayed on the Dashboard page. Copy this address.
Launch Rust
Open Rust from your Steam library and wait for the main menu to load.
Open the In-Game Console
Press F1 to open the Rust console.
Connect to Your Server
Type the connect command followed by your server IP and port, then press Enter:
connect 192.168.1.100:28015Replace the example IP with your actual server address from the panel.
💡 Tip: You can also find your server in the in-game server browser by searching for your server name. However, it may take a few minutes for a newly started server to appear in the list.
📝 Note: If your server has a password set, you will be prompted to enter it after connecting.
