Minecraft Gamerule Reference — Java Edition

Gamerules control core game behaviour on your server. Use /gamerule <rule> to read a value and /gamerule <rule> <value> to set it. As of Java Edition 1.21.11, all gamerule names use snake_case (e.g. keep_inventory instead of the old keepInventory).

Gamerules require operator permission level 2. Changes take effect immediately — no restart required. Boolean rules accept true or false. Integer rules accept any whole number within their valid range.
