Build a valid Game.ini + Engine.ini for The Isle Evrima in one click

The Isle Evrima (v0.21.x) uses TWO config files: Game.ini under [/Script/TheIsle.TIGameSession] holds every gameplay setting, and Engine.ini under [EpicOnlineServices] holds the EOS credentials required for cross-platform connectivity. Miss a bracket, misspell a section header, or drop a capital letter and the server silently reverts to defaults. This generator outputs both files with the exact sections + casing Evrima expects.

8 tabbed categories. Identity (ServerName, ServerPassword + bServerPassword flag, MaxPlayerCount, MapName). Queue (bQueueEnabled, QueuePort). Gameplay (bServerFallDamage, day/night length, bEnableHumans, bServerDynamicWeather, bAllowReplay, bSpawnPlants, bEnableGlobalChat, GrowthMultiplier). AI (bSpawnAI, AIDensity, AISpawnInterval, DisallowedAIClasses, bEnableMigration, MaxMigrationTime). RCON (bRconEnabled, RconPort, RconPassword). Admin (AdminsSteamIDs, bServerWhitelist, WhitelistIDs). Allowed Classes with 18 playable dinos from the current v0.21 roster (Carnotaurus, Ceratosaurus, Deinosuchus, Diabloceratops, Dilophosaurus, Dryosaurus, Gallimimus, Herrerasaurus, Hypsilophodon, Maiasaura, Omniraptor, Pachycephalosaurus, Pteranodon, Stegosaurus, Tenontosaurus, Troodon, Tyrannosaurus, Beipiaosaurus) — each tagged with diet (carnivore/herbivore/omnivore/piscivore) for quick visual sorting. EOS credentials in Engine.ini.

Four presets. Vanilla PvP: the community-standard public server with all dinos, growth 1×, AI on, dynamic weather. Hardcore: shorter day/night, 0.5× growth (slower progression), bServerFallDamage true, all dinos. Roleplay: bEnableHumans true, tighter whitelist encouraged, longer day length. Beginner-friendly: fast 2× growth, AI density higher for easier hunting, all dinos allowed, fall damage off.

The Allowed Classes picker is unique — emits one AllowedClasses= line per selected dino (the INI format Evrima expects). Click to toggle individual dinos, or use All/None buttons for bulk. The 18-dino roster matches v0.21.370 — the 2026 roadmap adds Austroraptor, Baryonyx, Kentrosaurus, Oviraptor, Avaceratops, Camarasaurus, Quetzalcoatlus (we'll add them to the schema when they land).

Pairs with the RCON Commands reference on this site — once your Game.ini has bRconEnabled=True + RconPort + RconPassword set, open /tools/the-isle/rcon-commands to see every admin command with exact syntax. Evrima is RCON-only; there's no in-game admin console.

The Isle Server Config Generator — FAQ

Where does The Isle Evrima's Game.ini go?

On Linux: `TheIsle/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/Game.ini`. On Windows: `TheIsle/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/Game.ini`. Engine.ini is in the same folder. The server creates default files on first launch — stop the server, edit them, then restart for changes to apply.

How do I enable RCON?

In Game.ini under [/Script/TheIsle.TIGameSession], set `bRconEnabled=True`, pick an RconPort (default 8888, doesn't need to match the game port), and set a strong RconPassword. Open the port in your firewall. Connect with any RCON client to that port using the password. Use the companion /tools/the-isle/rcon-commands tool for the command list.

What are AllowedClasses?

The list of playable dinosaurs on your server. Add one AllowedClasses= line per species under [/Script/TheIsle.TIGameStateBase]. Omit a species to block it (e.g. remove Tyrannosaurus for no-T.Rex servers). The generator emits one line per checked dino automatically. As of v0.21.370 there are 18 playable species; more coming in 2026 (Austroraptor, Baryonyx, Kentrosaurus, Oviraptor, Avaceratops, Camarasaurus, Quetzalcoatlus).

What does GrowthMultiplier do?

Multiplies how fast juvenile dinos grow to adult. 1.0 = vanilla (~10 hours for T.Rex). 2.0 = 2× faster (5 hours). 0.5 = 0.5× (slower, more committed progression). Most community servers run 2-4× to reduce grinding.

Does The Isle Evrima support modding on dedicated servers?

Officially no — Evrima is vanilla-only. You can configure via Game.ini (dinos, growth, chat, AI, RCON) and manage the server via RCON, but there's no Steam Workshop / .pak mod system like ARK or Valheim. XGamingServer's Evrima hosting runs pure vanilla with full Game.ini control.
