Configuring the Spawn Protection on your Minecraft server

“Spawn Protection” is an option made to protect the spawning area by making players unable to break/place blocks inside of the specified area, You can disable/configure the “Spawn Protection” and that’s what we are going to do in this article!

Note: when disabling the “Spawn Protection” it won’t get fully disabled, it will still protect a single block and that block is the spawn point!

How to configure the “Spawn Protection”:

1- go to your server’s control panel then hit “Stop” to stop your server

2- go to “Files” tab then open “server.properties”

3- search for “spawn-protection” and configure it the way you want: 16 is the default, 0 means “Disabled”

4- after configure it click on “Save Content” then go to “Console” tab and hit “Start” to start your server

And this is how you configure/disabled your server “Spawn Protection”!
