The core mode: Control Zones (King of the Hill)

WARDOGS’ signature mode is inspired by King of the Hill. Three teams fight for control of a randomized 2×2 km “Control Zone” that sits somewhere inside a much larger map. The team with the most players inside the Control Zone steadily earns points, and the first team to reach 100 points wins the match.

Because both the zone’s location and every player’s tactics change from game to game, no two matches play out the same way. Where the zone lands dictates the entire flow of the fight — an urban zone favours building and close-quarters combat, while an open one rewards vehicles and long sightlines.

Cash is king: the WARDOGS economy

This is what sets WARDOGS apart. Every player starts with $10,000. Each time you spawn, you buy a custom loadout from a wide selection of weapons, gear, utility items and vehicles. Spend big on a tank or a helicopter and you commit real money to the fight; play cheap and you keep a war chest for later.

Crucially, cash persists from match to match — so a well-timed investment can snowball. And WARDOGS doesn’t just allow teamplay, it pays you for it: you earn cash for reviving squadmates, transporting friendlies to the zone, controlling the objective, and other team actions. How you earn and how you spend those profits is entirely your call.

The Hot Zone — double the cash

Want to build your bankroll faster? Chase the Hot Zone, which pays out double cash. It’s higher risk for higher reward: everyone wants the extra money, so the Hot Zone is where the fighting is thickest.

There’s no “right” way to play

WARDOGS is 100% player-driven. Whether you’re a lone wolf supporting the team or part of a coordinated squad, the battlefield is yours to approach how you like:

• Sniper: buy a ghillie suit and pick off enemies from distance.
• Support: ferry supplies and teammates to the zone by helicopter — a steady, reliable way to earn team cash.
• Engineer: build a Forward Operating Base (FOB) to fortify a strategic chokepoint and lock down key ground.
• Artillery: man an artillery tank or mortar and rain destruction on enemy positions from afar.

Building and destruction

The world reacts to you. Level apartment blocks with rocket launchers, punch through towns in heavily armoured tanks, or go the other way and fortify key locations — building up cover and defences with your teammates for a tactical advantage. Destruction and construction are both first-class parts of the sandbox, not set dressing.

Talk (or troll) with local voice chat

Every moment is tied together with local proximity voice chat. Use it to coordinate tactics with your squad — or to troll enemy players who wander too close. WARDOGS is explicitly not a battle royale and not an extraction shooter; it’s a new tactical take on all-out warfare that rewards decision-making, communication and teamwork.
