Armor keeps you alive in WARDOGS — but every tier is a trade between how much punishment it soaks, how much it costs, and how much it slows you down. We pulled the real durability, protection class, weight and price of every vest and helmet straight from the game files, so you can see exactly what you’re paying for. Here’s the complete armor tier list and how to choose.

How armor works in WARDOGS
Body armor and helmets each have a durability value — how much damage the piece absorbs before it’s spent — and a protection class (Light, Medium, Heavy or Super Heavy). Higher tiers soak more, but they cost more cash out of your $10,000 and, crucially, weigh more — and weight slows you down. The best armor for you is the one that fits your budget and your playstyle, not automatically the heaviest.
Body armor tiers
| Armor | Class | Durability | Weight | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Armor | Light | 200 | 3.0 kg | $400 |
| Level 2 Armor | Medium | 220 | 4.5 kg | $1,000 |
| Level 3 Armor | Heavy | 250 | 10.5 kg | $2,000 |
| Level 4 Armor | Super Heavy | 300 | 18.0 kg | $4,000 |
| Ghillie Suit | Camo | — | 1.5 kg | $3,000 |
The standout number here is weight. Going from Level 1 to Level 4 only raises durability by 50% (200 → 300), but it multiplies weight six-fold (3 kg → 18 kg). Level 4 turns you into a slow-moving bunker — brilliant for anchoring a point, punishing if you need to rotate. The Level 2 Armor at $1,000 is the value sweet spot: a real durability bump for a modest 4.5 kg. The Ghillie Suit is a different tool entirely — it’s about camouflage on the open maps, not soaking bullets.
Helmet tiers
| Helmet | Class | Durability | Weight | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Helmet | Light | 80 | — | $200 |
| Level 2 Helmet | Medium | 100 | 1.6 kg | $500 |
| Level 3 Helmet | Heavy | 180 | 3.0 kg | $1,500 |
| Level 4 Helmet | Super Heavy | 200 | 4.5 kg | $3,000 |
| Ghillie Headwear | Camo | — | — | $2,500 |
Helmets scale harder than body armor — a Level 4 helmet has 2.5× the durability of a Level 1 (80 → 200). Since a headshot is what ends most fights instantly, a good helmet is often the higher-value protection buy. The Level 1 Helmet at $200 is the cheapest survivability upgrade in the entire game and belongs in almost every loadout.
What armor should you buy?
- Eco / aggressive respawner: Level 1 Armor ($400) + Level 1 Helmet ($200). Under $600 for real protection, leaving cash for guns, mags and utility. The smart default.
- Balanced: Level 2 Armor ($1,000) + Level 2 Helmet ($500). The best all-round durability-per-dollar without wrecking your mobility.
- Objective anchor / heavy: Level 3–4 Armor + Level 3–4 Helmet. Maximum survivability for holding a zone — just accept you’ll move slowly and rotate rarely.
- Sniper / flanker: the Ghillie Suit for concealment on Bakurani’s Sunflower fields or Ozeti’s open farms, paired with a light helmet for headshot protection.

WARDOGS armor FAQ
What is the best armor in WARDOGS?
For pure durability, Level 4 Armor (300 durability) — but it weighs 18 kg and cripples your mobility. For value, Level 2 Armor ($1,000) is the sweet spot, and a good helmet is often the higher-priority buy.
How much durability does each armor have?
Body armor runs 200 (Level 1) → 220 (Level 2) → 250 (Level 3) → 300 (Level 4). Helmets run 80 → 100 → 180 → 200 across Levels 1–4.
Is a helmet worth buying in WARDOGS?
Absolutely — headshots end fights fast, and the Level 1 Helmet is just $200, the cheapest survivability upgrade in the game. Higher helmet tiers scale durability aggressively.
What does the Ghillie Suit do?
It’s a camouflage item, not heavy protection — worth it for snipers and flankers who rely on concealment on the open maps.
