But here’s what catches new players out: kills are far from the biggest earner. WARDOGS pays you through a match-score system that rewards holding objectives, supporting your squad and moving people and materiel around the map. We pulled the game’s reward table straight from the files — here’s every way to earn and which ones to prioritise.

A note on honesty: WARDOGS tunes the exact reward amounts dynamically, so we’re not going to invent “$X per kill” figures. What the game files do tell us cleanly is every source of score and cash — and that’s what actually changes how you should play.
Objectives pay the most — hold zones, don’t chase kills
The single biggest lesson from the reward data: WARDOGS is built around control zones, and the game pays you at every stage of contesting one. There are separate rewards for:
- Entering a control zone
- Contesting a zone that’s being fought over
- Owning a zone your team controls
- Being in a zone that’s not yet owned (pushing a neutral point)
That means the money isn’t in the kill — it’s in being on the point while the kill happens. A player who parks on an objective and defends it out-earns a player chasing frags across the map. Learn where the zones sit in our map guide and use the interactive map to plan your holds.
Hotzones and magnet zones — the high-value objectives
On top of standard control zones, the reward table defines two premium objective types:
- Hotzones — a higher-stakes version of a control zone, with its own entered / contested / owned rewards. When a hotzone is active, it’s the most valuable real estate on the map.
- Magnet zones — objectives tied to a magnet you can activate or destroy. The table separately rewards contesting and owning a magnet zone, activating a magnet, and destroying the enemy’s — so these are high-tempo, high-reward fights.
There’s also a dedicated reward for capturing towers — the numbered sniper towers on every map are worth taking, not just for the sightline but for the score.
Priority: when a hotzone or magnet zone lights up, rotate to it. These are the biggest swings in the match economy.
Support play is a real income stream
One of the clearest signals in the data is how much WARDOGS rewards teamplay. The reward table has explicit entries for:
- Reviving and healing teammates
- Repairing and refuelling vehicles
- Downing enemies (assist-style credit, separate from the kill)
If you’re new and struggling to get frags, play medic and mechanic. Keeping your squad up and your vehicles running is a steady, low-risk way to bank score every match — and it makes your team better at holding the zones that pay even more.
Logistics: move people and build FOBs
WARDOGS also pays for the unglamorous work that wins matches:
- Delivering passengers — dropping teammates off at control zones and hotzones is directly rewarded (with one-off bonuses for the drop-off itself). Being the squad’s driver is genuinely profitable.
- Building FOBs — there are rewards for being the builder, the final builder, the schematic owner, and for building or placing schematics in a forward operating base. Setting up your team’s infrastructure pays.
- Destroying enemy assets — killing vehicles, supply crates and enemy utility all carry their own score.
End-of-match placement
Finally, the table rewards final placement — first, second and third place all pay out. Playing for the win at the end of a match, not just padding stats, is worth it.
How to earn efficiently — the priority list
- Get on the objective. Entering, contesting and owning control zones is the backbone of your income. Don’t chase kills away from the point.
- Rotate to hotzones and magnet zones the moment they’re active — biggest rewards on the map.
- Capture towers for both the score and the sightline.
- Support your squad — revives, heals, repairs and refuels are steady, safe income.
- Drive and build — deliver passengers to objectives and build out FOBs.
- Play to place — a top-three finish pays on top of everything else.
