Every weapon class in WARDOGS has a clear best pick once you look at the real numbers — and we have them. We pulled every gun’s fire rate, range, accuracy, weight and price straight from the WARDOGS game files and ranked them class by class, so whether you’re after the best assault rifle, the best SMG or the longest-reaching sniper, you can see exactly what the data says.
Compare any two guns side by side in our free Weapon Database, or rank them all by value in the cost-per-kill tier list. Remember: in WARDOGS a lower accuracy number is better — it’s the spread cone.
Best assault rifle in WARDOGS
The AR class is the backbone of the game and the most contested. Ranked:
- Best all-round — M4 ($2,800): the fastest-firing AR in the game at 800 RPM, a full 500m range and the lightest in its bracket (2.92 kg). If money’s no object, this is the pick.
- Best value — AK74 ($1,600): 650 RPM, the same 500m range as the M4, at 3.0 kg for nearly half the price. The smart-money assault rifle.
- Best budget — T-21 ($600): the cheapest primary in the game and still a 700 RPM full-auto rifle tuned for 300m. Backbone of any eco loadout.
- Best long-range — FAL ($6,500): a battle rifle reaching 800m with the tightest accuracy of any AR (0.58). Expensive, but it out-ranges everything short of a sniper.
- Mid-tier — Galil ($2,200): 650 RPM, 400m, a solid if unremarkable middle option.
Winner: the AK74 for most players — M4 performance at a price you can afford every life.
Best SMG in WARDOGS
SMGs are your close-quarters answer — light, fast and lethal inside 50–200m, perfect for Zestafona’s warehouses and Ozeti’s Stadium.
- Best all-round — MP5 ($1,500): 800 RPM and the best accuracy of the class (1.16), with a genuine 200m reach. The most versatile SMG.
- Best fire rate — Super-45 ($2,600): a blistering 1,200 RPM that shreds at point-blank range, though it’s tuned tight to 50m.
- Best budget — AMP-9 ($900): the cheapest SMG at 900 RPM — a brilliant, light eco-CQB option (1.4 kg).
Winner: the MP5 for its accuracy and reach; grab the AMP-9 when you’re saving cash.
Best sniper & marksman rifle in WARDOGS
For the open maps and tower holds, reach is everything.
- Best sniper — SV98 ($5,200): the longest-reaching weapon in the entire game at 1,000m and the single most accurate gun (0.56). If you want to own a sightline, this is it.
- Best budget sniper — Scout Rifle TD ($1,100): same bolt-action cadence (46 RPM) at 300m for a fraction of the price — a great entry into long-range play.
- Marksman option — SKS ($2,400): a semi-auto DMR that bridges the gap between assault rifle and bolt-action, for faster follow-up shots at range.
Winner: the SV98 is unmatched for pure reach and precision. Pair it with a 6-10x scope from our attachments guide and a fast sidearm for when they close in.
Best support weapon — LMG
There’s one true LMG and it’s a specialist tool: the M249 SAW ($3,200) lays down 850 RPM with a 200-round belt and a 700m reach. It’s heavy (7.5 kg) and loose (4.3 accuracy) by design — a positional suppression weapon, not a run-and-gun rifle. Set it up on a bipod (the Grip Pod) and pin a lane while your squad pushes.
Best shotgun — close-range deletion
The M500 ($1,200) is the shotgun of choice for hard-breach CQB. At 70m tuned range it’s a corner-peeker’s nightmare — anyone who walks into you in Zestafona’s warehouses doesn’t walk back out.
Best launcher — anti-vehicle & area denial
- MAAWS ($2,600): a recoilless rifle for punching through vehicles and fortified positions at 400m.
- MGL-40 ($6,000): a multi-shot grenade launcher for area denial — lob explosives onto a held zone from cover.
Best pistol in WARDOGS
Never skip your sidearm — it’s your out when the primary runs dry mid-fight.
- GGX 18 ($800): a wild 1,200 RPM — the fastest sidearm and the best panic button.
- Deagle ($900): the hardest-hitting pistol (0.84 accuracy) for one decisive shot.
- M1911 ($300): the reliable, cheap all-rounder at 430 RPM.
- GGX 17 ($200): the cheapest sidearm, perfect for eco kits.
